The new PulseWorx Gateway UPB is the ultimate interface to PulseWorx® systems. Works with Simply Automated products, better quality, lower pricing, exceptional support. The PGW empowers the use of mobile devices, smart phones and/or tablets, to control the full line of PulseWorx/UPB System products and will also communicate to all UPB® licensee products from Leviton Security and Automation, Simply Automated and Web Mountain.
The free mobile applications are graphically orientated and optimized to remotely control and check the status of UPB® devices seamlessly. Virtual PulseWorx keypads allow end-users to remotely “push” buttons as if they were using their existing keypads to control scenes as well as the ability to operate individual devices. The PCS PulseWorx app for Apple iPhone, iPad, is now available on iTunes and the Microsoft Surface Pro/PC app is available now on the PCS website, Android applications are in development.

Every PulseWorx Gateway offers an astronomical timer, with the capability to schedule 256 events over four different time schedules. Scheduling can be done on a 7-day weekly or 5-year calendar basis. Calendar scheduling is ideal for holiday and vacation schedules and is appropriate for “lite” commercial installations. Creating, viewing or remotely modifying any programmed schedule is accessible through the mobile applications as well as UPStart® configuration software.
In support of the PGW Gateway a new version of UPStart Version 8, the PulseWorx UPB configuration software, is now available at http://www.pcslighting.com/pulseworx/resources. A new “connection catalog” will now allow installers supporting multiple installations to easily select from a list of remote locations and connect to the Gateway, implement, and test any modifications the user has requested.
The PulseWorx Gateway has superior security settings, enforced upon connection, with username and password protection for up to eight concurrent connections. Individual user privileges are also configurable for control only, allow/disallow schedule modification and full set up authorization. Installers will enjoy the field updatable firmware.
One of the unique elements of the PWG is that it autonomously maintains status of all devices to allow quick status sync for application clients and controls all connections directly at the installation site without ever accessing any type of cloud server. PCS stands ready to assist 3rd party developers with a fully documented interface for transparent integration with other control applications to communicate to UPB devices.
